Abstract
The aim of the project is to conduct transdisciplinary research in a specific model area to learn how the mobility of the people in the quarter can be improved with the help of neighbourhood-based mobile stations and neighbourhood HUBs, thereby relieving the street space of motorised individual traffic and the currently rapidly increasing motorised delivery traffic by courier, express and parcel services with its resultant problems for the quarter and its residents.
The Chair for Public Transport and Mobility Management is responsible for evaluating the locations of future mobility stations in Wuppertal and gives scientific support to the project. The focus hereby lies in identifying transferable factors of success and also hindrances in order to develop strategies to overcome them.
